Question 17' Tucson Sport Roof Racks

New member here! I just purchased a 2017 Tucson Sport and I'm searching for the OEM roof rack bars and several websites have different part numbers for both the panoramic bars and non-panoramic bars. I want to make sure I have the correct information! Also, I see that there is a taller option roof rack? Does anyone have personal pictures of these by chance? Also, does anyone have any recommendations as to the best place to buy these and any other Hyundai parts? THANK YOU!

I have a roof rack on my Tucson Limited. I didn't go the factory route as I have a pair of expensive carbon fiber bikes which are best put onto a roof rack that are designed for them. Thus I went this route via my Yakima dealer:

- Yakima RidgeLine (Set of 4)
- Yakima RidgeClip 17 (Set of 4)
- Yakima 48 Inch Cross Bars (Pair)
- Yakima RoundBar SL Adapter
- Yakima 6 Pack SKS Core Locks
- Yakima ForkLift (Pair)

All in about $1100 Canadian installed. There's a tiny bit of wind noise, but it isn't objectionable. I can cut that down by using a Yakima air deflector if I so wish. The sunroof works perfectly with no issues.

The pano roof takes the taller bars. But I've heard they short ones work as well for the pano roof.

I went aftermarket. Not sure if they are still available or not, they went fast as they were under $100 delivered. Only used them once and I don't leave them on. Not a fan of the look.

Wow, I love the color of your Tucson! I don't think I ever saw one like that. Very nice.

The taller roofbars are needed so that if you use some odd bike carrier or rooftop box that has things poking BELOW the crossbar, it does not scratch the glass. I know I needed to cut part of the fastening mechanism of my bike carrier for my previous car, but I did not buy crossbars for Tucson yet

The problem with most roof racks for cars with PANO sunroof is that the towers that clap onto your roof rails RUB against the sunroof spray rubber edges which slowly wear away in one spot each time you open and close the roof with the rails on... eventually cause a chunk to be gone and water leaks to start. Happen to me lucky I caught it before the chunk got too big.

I don't have the OEM bars but when I was looking at bars the OEM were not that impressive. I went with Thule for several reasons, the largest being my current accessories are designed to fit in a C-channel bar, which the factory OEM's did not have. I do not have a pano sunroof and do not have to worry about gear or rails hitting the sunroof.
