Kensun HID Kit Review = DO NOT BUY!

So like some of you might have seen I recently purchased a 55w Kensun HID kit off Amazon. I tried installing the other day and everything was going well until I turned on the car and all I got was flickering for about 3 seconds then they would shut off. I needed the car that night so I had to disconnect the bulbs and put the halogens back in temporarily.

Today I called their "Costumer service" to see what they recommended in terms of troubleshooting the problems and that's where their entire company left a sour taste in my mouth. First off all they weren't very polite to begin with. I then told them everything was working until I turned the car on and they said "Its the cars computer shutting them off" and I said "Ok well what do you recommend?" They told me to buy a single relay harness off Amazon. I said well I wasn't planning on spending another $25 just to get them working and would have just went with another company COUGH COUGH OPT-7's Canbus system for less money as they include the relay harness needed or not.

That's when he brought in the line that did it for me. "Sir we have thousands of satisfied customers and we don't need your business" "If you would rather go spend your money on their kit, I'm not stopping you" I then politely told him well look forward to the poor review. His response "Fine"

If this is how they "satisfy" (Or lack their of) their customers they aren't getting my business! and I hope certainly not your guys either...

I've heard morimoto are good or diodedynamics. Recently had to change my single relay harness to a dual then bought another new single relay due to the flicker on the passenger side then both....then it went all strobe light on me after the first day of installing.

So far no problems drove around to get gas and nothing.

I'm using 35w 6k ddm tuning with antiflicker and single relay harness. Once I get my switchback led turns from morimoto I'll go 3k on my low beams and maybe white led on high beam/drl

I prefer not to spend too much on a quality kit but I may have too. I wish every company had Customer service like DD.

C'Mon, J, the guy's an Aquarius and we just didn't have a good day today, especially dealing with people! Try again tomorrow.

And tell him you want a full refund, shipping and all...

Do you know any satisfying profanity?!

So far I've been using ddm since I had my 02 hyundai accent in 2011. I got my 201 elantra just last year and had to change relay because of the rain and corrosion of the relay but other than that. So far so good.

There's 2 ddm shops here rather than the online which I've had some issues before when contacting them.
Hope you'll get a good deal on a better kit.

I just put Morimoto 5500 35W in my VW and really like them. Was literally plug and play. If the EGT kit is similar I would not hesitate as it took minutes to install and no issues(with my VW).

I've had my OPT7 kit since shortly after buying my car in June 2014. It's hooked directly to the car's harness, no relay or capacitors. Once in a while on really cold mornings, one side won't light initially. Usually one or two "flicks" of the light switch fixes this and it comes on. Despite this minor inconvenience, I still think it's the best bang for your buck.

Update

Upon a quick email to the company they are sending out the relay harness needed for our cars. I happy they are doing it but still does not change my opinion on the company. If everything goes well and works after this harness I believe I will be neutral about Kensun.
