'09 Genesis Battery Saver ?

Does the 2009 Genesis have the battery saver feature? In other words, does the car automatically shutdown any electronics left running after the car is turned off? Is it possible to totally drain the battery in the '09 Genesis by leaving something "on" in the car?

I'm sure this sounds like a silly question to you folks. You're probably thinking, "Look in the owner's manual". Well, it's not my car. A close friend has the '09 Genesis and had a Hyundai dealer install a new battery 4 months ago. (We assume it was a new battery.) They then moved to a different city. Last week the battery was as dead as a hammer. AAA could not jump it so they towed it to the local Hyundai dealer who said the battery was a lost cause and replaced it. Four months is a pretty short life for a battery so trying to sort out whether or not the car killed it.

It's not a silly question. Just seems like nobody knows the answer.

FWIW, if something on the car was draining the battery the battery would just be discharged, not a total lost cause. Maybe it was just a defective battery that got fitted the first time. That happens occasionally. It's a bit odd that it didn't start with a jump though.

Did they have to pay for the second new battery or was it replaced under warranty?
