Hey all! Hope 2010 is kicking off with a bang for you as much as it has been for me!

My little Matchbox Racer, as I like to call my 2002 Hyundai Accent GL Sedan seems to hate 2010 so far. I purchased my car used and didn't get a manual with it and as a result can't seem to figure out where the Oxygen Sensor is location. She's pulling the sensor replacement code right now. I have the part, but can't figure out where in the exhaust system it goes.

Can anyone out there in Hyundai space help a girl out?

Thanks!

Tina

Depends on the code. There's two sensors. One is before the cat, as in sYc's pics, and one after that he didn't show you. What was the specific code?

I'm pretty sure it was the front. My buddy read the code and was going ot fix it and then we had a big fight and now he's not. My dad is going to try and help me out, but doesn't know much about Hyundais.

I wouldn't assume anything without knowing what that code was. Take it to Autozone or Advance Auto for a free code read.

The upstream (the one pictured) and the downstream (which is located after the flex pipe and under the car) should have different plugs, unless you have a universal O2 sensor? Knowing the DTC would help. Sometimes it's not the O2 sensor but an exhaust leak or electrical issue.

There's never enough time to do it right, but there's always enough time to do it over.
