Wink

Ok, I'm still ironing out a few details for my accent mod project, plus I still gotta save up more pennies before I do it all.

I've found a rear bumper and side skirts that I want, but for ages I couldn't find a nice enough front bumper... until now.

It's the sexiest front bumper I've found to date for the 2G Accent saloon.

It's called Jetspeed, and is made in Australia. Being that America has loads more modding options for accents than the UK does (grrr), I'm wondering if this particular bumper is available over there across the pond?

If so, it'd be cheaper for me to import one from the US than Oz, considering the distance and shipping costs.

If not though, I'll just bite the bullet and order one from Oz and ship it to me in the UK.

Any thoughts, info or comments?

tis a nice kit isn't it.

bear in mind that my front grille is exclusevly made by PSC (performance styling centre) in australia and they have closed their doors now so i don't think you would ever see it again. (bit between the bonnet and bumper, has accent on it)

i don't see how it could be too expensive, your exchange rate is a lot better than ours.

That's a rather large radio controlled (RC, get it) car you have there, the controller must be as big as a telly :P

I'm only interested in the front bumper, not the skirts or the rear bumper, as I have a UK kit that I'm getting for those. Just the UK kit has a rather awful front bumper:

It's all too gapy at the front.

I'm gonna use the jetspeed front bumper, and match it with the apex skirts and rear bumper. I like how the apex rear bumper has vents by the wheels like the front bumper vents on the jetspeed.

My car's being modded to become a luxury cruiser, none of this boy racer crap. Although I am getting some exterior lighting to show off a bit at night, namely some undercar neons and washer jet leds :P

My car is silver, but I'm gonna have a 10% yellow tint on all the windows. Before you say anything, the maximum tint in the UK for the front windows is 25%, with 75% for the rear. 10% all round is obviously less, it's more subtle, and will look very nice when it's done.

I'm going for a two tone red and white leather interior, with some funky pattern action.

I'm also gonna replace all my interior door panels with shiny new fibre-glass & leather ones. Along with a new carpet, colour matched to the rest of the interior of course!

I'm sure you guys have seen pimp my ride, there's an episode where a guy called Josh has his corolla pimped (it's the one that's an automatic without the reverse gear heh). Anyway he has a racing style exterior, with a luxury style interior. That's what I'm going for.

Anyway, still loads to sort out for the project.

I'll get some pictures done as soon as the rain buggers off, and I've given it a thorough clean inside and out. A complete 'pre-project' documentation.

Medic, how much did you pay for the front bumper, and I'm guessing you paid in Aussie dollars right?

I still haven't had a reply back from jetspeed, and before I chase them up I wanna see how much the bumper will cost me.

Cheers.

WUFFLEX, read the part in the middle of 'medic's' photos, he says the company that makes the bumpers in aus. has now gone bust, guess you'll have to try elsewhere, shame cause it looks realy cool

No he said the company that made his grille went bust, not the company that made the body kit.
