My thoughts

Emailed the service manager yesterday about how I have been going there for 8 years for servicing on my hyundai's. I have never been offered a wheel alignment until about 2 years ago, at which time I was told to get 1 done every 2 years. Now yesterday when I went I was told to get 1 done once a year. Both times by the same service tech. The service manager told me I have been misinformed. To me that seems a bit shady considering they just started offering me the service and changing the intervals on it.

On a side note I was charged charged $36.51 (thats with a 15% discount) and $40.12 for labor for a cabin filter.

Also $94.18 for a spring service special + $40.77 for synthetic oil change + $36.51 for the synthetic oil. This is odd because I had a coupon mailed to me by hyundai for $114.95 for the spring special. So by my math I am over charged $20 (I always pay extra for syntetic)

Lost faith in my dealership after 8 years.

Your dealer is raping you, learn to change air filter yourself, it takes 2 minutes, and start shopping around for oil changes and other routine maintenance. Around here at independent shops a synthetic oil change costs about $55 and includes tire rotation.

OOOPss

Please disregard my last post, I read my invoice wrong. But $40 to put in a cabin filter seems high and the wheel alignment thing seems suspiscious.

Not sure which part of the country you're from but...
You've simply been robbed!
Go else where and stay away from that stealership like plague.
Most cabin filters can be had for less than $20 and takes 15 minutes to replace it. If you're not quite handy have a friend or someone in your household to do it or Google/Youtube is your best bet.
Other members can chime in for spring check and oil change.
My local Hyundai offers for an oil change: $19.99 labor + oem filter and bring your own oil.
But at the rate they charged you all I can say is OMG.

They are running a business not a charity and they decided to start selling that service now. I get my alignment done when its needed. When I lived in New Orleans and drove on crappy roads all the time that was often over 12-18 months, now in TX its more like every 5 years. All it takes is one good whack on a pothole to mess up your alignment though.

Maybe this will be your $$ lesson to read your manual as the instructions to install a cabin air filter are in there. I got my cabin air filter for both vehicles for $21 shipped on ebay, afermarket tyc brand filters that are very good quality. They required no tools to install on my car or suv.

Getting them checked is fine.
my old and actual tires do not show any abnormal wear so all is good.
